draw Your Excellency'a attention to the fact that Labuan la includert in the Straits Settlements.

The above may be regarded as a com-

plete list of the British Crown Colonies and Protectorates,

excepting of course Ceylon and the Straits Settlements, the

adhesion of which has already been notified to the Imperial

Government, - which desire to accede to the Treaty, and it is

naturally understood that the interpretation of Articles 1 and

8 put on record in Mr. Rumbold's Note No. 22 of the 3rd of

March applies to the Colonies and Protectorates specified above

as well as to those particularly mentioned in the Note in

questiun.
